About Three Oaks Academy
Fully-Accredited Specialized Safe and Sober High School
for Lifeway's APG Groups and other APG Group Programs
Three Oaks Academy was established by John Cates, Lifeway's founder and CEO, in 2004 when searching for "The Right Stuff" to offer families with young people enrolled in Alternate Peer Group programs and who needed a safe and sober educational environment for their recovering young person. John was looking for a quality accredited educational choice that would provide the appropriate support in an accountable atmosphere.
When nothing else measured up, John opened the doors for that first family's adolescent in a school developed exclusively to serve and support recovery, Lifeway's own, Three Oaks Academy.
Three Oaks' staff model sobriety as a desired choice, not just as a rule or regulation. Students have the opportunity to associate, communicate and be educated without the pressures of constant bombardment from outside negative influences and peer pressure during the course of their school day (in the course of their recovery).
The young people progress in an individualized plan of academics appropriate for the individual's recovery stage and cognitive capacities.
